The mid season finale of the Walking Dead was Dead ass on point! If you haven't been watching ...well you missed a good one. To those who's been running from Atlanta to Woodberry with Rick and the crew has watched them come from a bunch of scared confused victims to a crack unit of walker killing commandos.
They've lost a couple of people along the way and to add insult to injury they now face the threat of human beings that have lost their humanity following an evil tyrant torturing and killing people for personal gain and power. It's no excuse for it now, but in a zombie apocalypse where all people everywhere should stick together this bastards ego tripping can't be tolerated. The Suicide Squad has also had several run ins with zombies, roamers, walkers or whatever you want to call em.
In the second season of the Walking Dead one controversy among the group was who do you side with, Team Shane or Team Rick? Me; I'm team Rick and if I had to pick a team, a starting line up if you will, this is it.
Daryl, Michonne, Glen, Andrea, Maggie and Carl
(Tyreese hasn't come into the group yet)
For a super zombie fighting undead killing Squad,
Team Tiger would be
Deadshot, Nubia, Nightshade, Vixen, Plastique and Captain Boomerang
What would be your zombie fighting line up?
And if you don't know who Nubia is here's the link
Mari McCabe, Vixen. When I see her, I see love story. From beginning to end everything about this character says romance, passion, drama, an adventure. Don't get me wrong, McCabe is no push over damsel in distress. She has skills and power on levels that can make guys have to step back. So what am I saying? I'm saying her design, how she's been depicted, her alter ego or job when she's out of uniform; everything about Vixen even the 80's fierce versions says fantasy love for us men and strong independent woman that needs a strong man to the women that believe in the power of two. I was over at SoDae's sketchbox and it sparked the muse, and maybe the romantic flicker that's still left inside the ol'Boi.
I don't know who did this photo or who the model is but let me be the first to say....Girl you did this one! Absolutely beautiful. And conveys exactly who Vixen is. Exotic beauty all the power of the animal kingdom and the delicate vulnerability of nature. So who should play Vixen in a live action movie?
Fellas......
Who do you Love?
I'm ol'School Squad so these two together, whether they be together or not is what I want to see. True believers I think at heart I'm one of those heroic romantic at heart type of guys that always wanted to take the Last of the Mohicans approach to the right woman (Daniel Day Lewis).
Is that a character flaw? Anyway
Comics have done a good job exploring love and adventure. Hawkeye and Mockingbird, Storm and the Black Panther, Vision and the Scarlett Witch.---well marvel has. DC does have Superman and Lois Lane. Justice League Unlimited had John Stewart and Hawkgirl the best love and love triangle story I've ever seen. And the product was War Hawk. How big is that!? but that's another post altogether. Bronze Tiger and Vixen could have been comic and animation greatness, especially if we saw Vixen help this to proud to ask for help spy guy discover and work thru his mystic connection to the elemental forces of WuShu.
For me, it was to cool to see your woman ride or die for you
and even cooler you riding for her.
I wanted to see more Vixen and Bronze Tigers friendship and love affair, to see him defend her with his life even though they can never be together. Return of the lion should have featured BT. Whisper A'Daire an LOA affiliate cameoed and that was the connection they could have made with the Tiger watching and stopping LOA major moves, letting Mari's safety be the most important motivation.
Now let's get to it, the casting of DC's super spy.
Who could play BT in a live action?
These are the three guys that come to mind. Maybe Marrese Crump or Boris Kodjoe?

is the man with the Iron Fist. The movie comes out Friday and of course your man OA1 will be in the building for what I believe is the beginning of a new epic franchise that's well overdue. Were going to get martial arts superheroes (magic kung fu).
Let it be said that you heard it here first, from the beginning of this blog
that the DC universe has this character and movie in the
The Bronze Tiger has been Ronin, is Samurai and must find the sword and bow of Sakanouye-no-Tamuramaro to become shogun. The armor and weapons of the 1st Sei-i Tai is his birth right and the key to crushing the oni that has been released against the world.
Sakanouye is looking over one of the last sons of Tamuramaro, the Bronze Tiger (SS:OA1).
Sakanouye-no-Tamuramaro:Sei-i Tai, Shogun of early Japan, 1st man to hold the title Shogun, which is the highest rank to which a warrior could aspire. Tamuramaro is a Japanese man of African decent. The most celebrated Black general of the Heian period (794-1185) and the originator of what was to develop into the renowned Samurai class.
The word shogun means savage destroyer. A shogun is a hereditary governor of Japan. A ruling warlord. They were the absolute rulers until 1867; the warrior kings. Sakanouye is the conqueror of the indigenous Ainu / Emishi and the demon crushing avatar of the Bishamon. Many temples are dedicated to him as the avatar (check Chinese and Japanese historical records and mythology). Sakanouye is a Black man that's Japanese. Japanese culture and native. what should be known is that Tamuramaro was a paragon of military virtues, loved and is celebrated all over Japan and a hero in his own right.
Killing demons
The purpose of this posting is not only a history lesson, but to also show that it's material out there to pull from and it's absolutely no reason the Bronze Tiger shouldn't be featured in the DC universe, in a title in an animated series and in any other medium at DC's disposal. Able to take on the most skilled all the way up to the most powerful.
"It's not Marvel and DC's place to create our stories. We should create our own stories"
and not just for us to act a fool over (But I will fight the Iron Fist for Misty Knight). Strong, Independent and absolutely Devastatingly good at what they do. So here's a couple of snap shots of some power hitters from the Marvel and DC Universe's.
MARVEL LEGENDS
I read the Villains for Hire mini series after Heroes for Hire because it sort of mirrored the one and only Suicide Squad and discovered Misty Knight. I knew her from Power Man and Iron Fist, Shadowland and so on, but I got to see a Misty Knight that can hold her own with out Collin Wing, Danny Rand and Luke Cage. Hope Marvel doesn't give up on her, she's the real deal.
the best of the DCU
It's a damn shame Nubia is missing from this picture and missing from the DCU all together. Wonder Woman's twin sister is amazing and would add something that has never existed before to the new DCU.
Name: Jishi, translated means lion. The Foo Dog with magical powers, the guardian lion of the temple and shrine. The protector of the Tama, the sacred jewel of wisdom that brings light to darkness.
Group affiliation: the League of Shadows
Foo Dog guardian of the Sensei
Jishi and the Bronze Tiger emerged as assassins for the Demon Fang and one of them destined to become a Nio Guardian. As they wiped out all of the enemies of the Sensei the Bronze Tiger became the best and most feared assassin in the world; and therefore becoming the chosen Nio Guardian to the mysteries of shadow.
The Tiger was honored with the Jishi mask, however the Sensei had already employed
Professor Ojo to brainwash Ben. Sensei corrupted the use of the mask which is now the mask of the Tiger, then set Benjamin Turner on a course of bloodshed in the Sensei's attempt to overthrow Ra's Al Ghul for the leadership of the LOA. This was only a faint for him to possess the Beholder mask. The unnamed assassin completely filled with evil spirits from the Demon Blade, waited his opportunity and finally got a chance to ambush and stab the Bronze Tiger in the back while Ben was in battle against the Darknight detective.
Jishi would eventually become the Lion guardian and later become responsible for the killing of Ben Turner's fiancee Miyoshi. This too is a deception of the Sensei who's been keeping Miyoshi alive and using her in his plans that concern Ben Turner and the descendants of Tamuramaro.
Powers / Weapons
Ninja and one of the deadliest assassins alive, Jishi uses various bladed weapons, poisons and tools of the trade. He also carries the Demon Slayer, an ancient knife that kills evil spirits if held by a true guardian, the evil spirits are collected if in the hands of the unrighteous. The stronger spirits will possess the man that is unworthy. Whatever else the knife does is unknown. Jishi is to be married to Miyoshi and father to her two sons. David Cain is training the children and Ojo is conditioning.
The filthy cauldron of schemes set in motion by the Sensei is on a direct path to kill a Tiger.
OK true believers and young dabblers, what do you think?
Jishi is the name given to this guy by OA1 and his origin is mine too.
I liked the guy and thought he needed an origin and BT another guy added to his rogues list.
