Silent Dogs and Still Water

Lions, Tigers and the year of the Dog

Name: Jishi, translated means lion. The Foo Dog with magical powers, the guardian lion of the temple and shrine. The protector of the Tama, the sacred jewel of wisdom that brings light to darkness.

Group affiliation: the League of Shadows

Foo Dog guardian of the Sensei

Jishi and the Bronze Tiger emerged as assassins for the Demon Fang and one of them destined to become a Nio Guardian. As they wiped out all of the enemies of the Sensei the Bronze Tiger became the best and most feared assassin in the world; and therefore becoming the chosen Nio Guardian to the mysteries of shadow.

The Tiger was honored with the Jishi mask, however the Sensei had already employed

Professor Ojo to brainwash Ben. Sensei corrupted the use of the mask which is now the mask of the Tiger, then set Benjamin Turner on a course of bloodshed in the Sensei's attempt to overthrow Ra's Al Ghul for the leadership of the LOA. This was only a faint for him to possess the Beholder mask. The unnamed assassin completely filled with evil spirits from the Demon Blade, waited his opportunity and finally got a chance to ambush and stab the Bronze Tiger in the back while Ben was in battle against the Darknight detective.

Jishi would eventually become the Lion guardian and later become responsible for the killing of Ben Turner's fiancee Miyoshi. This too is a deception of the Sensei who's been keeping Miyoshi alive and using her in his plans that concern Ben Turner and the descendants of Tamuramaro.

Powers / Weapons

Ninja and one of the deadliest assassins alive, Jishi uses various bladed weapons, poisons and tools of the trade. He also carries the Demon Slayer, an ancient knife that kills evil spirits if held by a true guardian, the evil spirits are collected if in the hands of the unrighteous. The stronger spirits will possess the man  that is unworthy. Whatever else the knife does is unknown. Jishi is to be married to Miyoshi and father  to her two sons. David Cain is training the children and Ojo is conditioning.

The filthy cauldron of schemes set in motion by the Sensei is on a direct path to kill a Tiger.

OK true believers and young dabblers, what do you think?

Jishi  is the name given to this guy by OA1 and his origin is mine too.

I liked the guy and thought he needed an origin and BT another guy added to his rogues list.

conversation and analytical interpretation; VUALA!!!

Who is the Unknown Assassin

of the

The 5 Deadly Venom were the Bronze Tiger's major villains with Kobra (Regulus) being the arch-enemy. The Sensei is next and the leader of the League of Shadows. The League is the other half of the League of Assassins where Ra's Al Ghul is the leader. The Sensei (Demon Fang) and Ra's (Demon Head) are at war for total control of this assassins guild. Of course members chose sides and each side has it's own formidable killers. These three are the Sensei's top operatives; Jishi, David Cain and Professor Ojo.

Jishi's first and only appearance that I know of is in Detective 485. He's the unnamed assassin that stabbed BT in the back. This guy looks the part of a killer and should have been developed more. No fear true believer, OA1 has crafted a name and story around this guy and it will be revealed in a later post, stay tuned.

David Cain, is the father of Cassandra who was once Batgirl. The most deadliest Batgirl to date. She received parts of her training by yours truly the Bronze Tiger. With the torturous abuse that her father put her through I can only see retribution (a good beating) being dealt to Cain by her Master Ben Turner.

Professor Ojo, he's not a martial arts assassin, but a dangerous murderer none the less. Everybody knows how the mad scientist story plays out. So moving on, Ojo shows up here and there but his best appearance is in young justice the animated series that's super hot right now. Him the Sensei, Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Shadows all have shown up on the show. You guys just don't know how much I was hoping BT would show up at some point. Bradon Vietti, Greg Weisman, lets do this guys.

With continuity issues, the new 52 and the interpretation of whoevers writing, things change.

In Young Justice the LOA and Shadows are one in the same, so with that being said, we'll figure out the details together. Long live the Squad

Tiger of Tamura

The Black Tiger is the worlds most skilled big cat. He has rarely been seen by the eyes of man and is believed to have magical powers that can be transferred to one who can capture or kill him. The magical Black Tiger is also known to be the killer of evil spirits and protector of all that's good.

As far as fully articulated figures go, I think it comes no better than the Four Horseman. These cowboys of the plastic action frontier gave us the Bronze Tiger; arguably the best two head sculpts and action figure paint jobs to date. The new 52 is in full swing and all of our favorite superheroes have pulled out alternate uniforms. With the Tiger Cage being officially the only Bronze Tiger site on the web, I decided to do a custom figure and review for the Shogun of TaskForce X, the Bronze Tiger.

The Agent O version of an alternate uniform is based on this panel from Flash #46

Quick Trivia: BT and the Flash are both from Central City  (who knew).

The color scheme is inspired by the black tiger, BT's burnt orange uniform, Mia Cabrera's tiger mask the legend of the Tiger King and the idea of Ben being the direct descendant of  Sakanouye No Tamura Maro - Sei-i Tai, first man to hold the title SHOGUN.

The figure has all the standard articulation of DC Universe Classics. The combination of hands that bend at the wrist give BT the dynamic of martial arts stances. Now his mastery of the empty hand can be shown in his poses.

Tamura Maro was one of the greatest warriors of Japan. His sword and bow are legendary. Benjamin Turner being one of the seven sons of Tamura maro (story by OA1) I gave BT a seven ringed broad sword, a power bow and his great ancestors sword. the sword of Tamura Maro.

The medallion has the Japanese Tiger symbol in the center. The other symbol is the symbol of the Tiger King. It's engraved in the center of the belt and on top of the head of the tiger mask. The symbol is in  truth on the top of the head of male tigers, you should see it in the stripes and it means king; hence the Japanese legend of the Tiger King. Inside the quiver is a hidden compartment to store whatever dangerous compounds or secret bad guy paraphernalia that had to be taken.

To wrap it up, this is my first 6inch custom job. I tried to take this and pour in as much originality as I could and still stay true to the original Bronze Tiger character created by Dennis O'Neil and Jim Berry.

The Last Man Standing

Deathstroke vs the JSA

My nephew and action figure collecting partner sent me these fight pictures and second round drag out of Slade vs the JSA. I guess they wanted some get back from the beat down he gave em from Identity Crisis. Either way, here we go....FIGHT!

Slade Wilson, the Terminator aka: DEATHSTROKE
Mercenary assassin and scourge of the DCU. Possesses various enhanced abilities at an almost superhuman level. These include strength of ten men, heightened speed, agility, stamina and reflexes.

Deathstroke can use 90% of his brain making him a tactical genius, adept at turning an opponent's own abilities against them. He has years of military training and possesses a healing factor that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person; however, it does have limitations. He cannot regenerate entire limbs. So he can be killed.

Slade is expert hand to hand combatant and a weapons expert, but his signature weapon is a power staff, that fires lethal and non lethal energy blasts from both ends. He could probably use it right now to keep from getting kicked in the face.

Oh well, that kicking stuff didn't last.

Looks like these guys have just got the business done to em. And Deathstroke needs some new guys to fight. Maybe beat the crap out of some marvel guys? Deadpool, Blade, Taskmaster, who knows. Thanks Jake for the pics man. And until your guy meets the Bronze Tiger he gets the win.

Quantum Mechanix:

FIFTH CHAMBER

I'm a character driven kind of guy so my pull list reads like this; Aquaman, Batman, Black Panther, Blade, Hawkeye, IronFist, the Submariner, their spinoff books or books they frequent; toss in a Jedi here and a Green Lantern there and you got a dude that spends alot of damn money on comic books. Now with that being said the Bronze Tiger is one of those characters that I want to read about and he has no book (thanks DC). So here's the second wave of covers of a nine cover series.

fan Artist: Peter Temple

These two covers are a repanel of fan art that someone at DC should really take a look at and consider what we like.  I plugged in the names of some artist and writer team ups that I enjoyed or would like to see together. When I read see Wakanda and Die from Jason Aaron I was hooked on phonics. His story telling is amazing.  At the bottom I had to give give it up to Jan Duursema. Her work on Legacy, Star Wars Republic and a battery of other projects makes me want to see if she could bring the force to BT vs Kobra.

Everybody knows what Scott Snyder is doing with the court of owls storyline and the team up of Palo and Loughridge speak for itself. Until cover 6. long live the Squad

the Elementals: Wu-Xing 5 elements of Kung Fu

These are the top 5 fighters from the Marvel and DC Universe that represent the senior animal styles of Kung Fu and the 5 elemental forms known as the Wu-Xing. Each one of these warriors in comics or in writing have shown and do possess this fighting style and elemental power. Where did I pull the information from you ask? Jong Hap Mu Sool, List of martial arts around the world,  internet references, comics of these characters read thru the years, Kung Fu Gold theater and my own interpretation of what I see. Now, with that out the way, how does this Wu-Xing work?

Wu-Xing  Elements

Metal-which cuts                                    Metal collects water

Water-which flows                                 Water feeds wood

Wood-which splits                                   Wood feeds fire

Fire-which rises                                 Fire feeds earth

Earth-which contains                                    Earth births metal

And were all connected in the circle of life. On the real, I looked up and over all this stuff trying to figure out who was the top 10 fighters in comics.

I didn't forget

Wolverine, Blade, Deathstroke, Nightwing, Lady Shiva, Shang Chi, Daredevil bla bla bla. Everybody I just named been beat by the guys at the top or been beat by somebody that these guys beat the crap out of so they don't make the top 5 list. But I do want to here how you rank the top 10 in order and why?

Bruce Wayne: Batman / Metal         City: Gotham                                Snake style /  the Vibrating hand

Danny Rand: Iron Fist / Earth               City: New York                          Dragon style /  Iron Fist

T'Challa: Black Panther/Water City: Wakanda                  style Panther / Shadow Fang

Benjamin Turner: BronzeTiger / Fire  City:Central                                Tiger style / Invincible Armor

Steve Rodgers: Captain America Wood                City: New York Eagle style  /  Steel Talon

Two for the Money: 2nd CHAMBER

The second chamber will explore the Brave and the Bold type team up with a Marvel What If spin.

Real talk.....Who do you want to see the Bronze Tiger team up with? And why. It's a battery of stories

I want to see and here are my top 10.

 Spy Hunter vs the Detective

Mission: a Task Force X hit and intel retrieval. The Tiger assassinates a clone of Lord Naga, Batman intervenes and this is the result.               Eventually Bronze Tiger and Batman close down a secret Kobra base under Gotham city.

Lone Wolf and Cub: Waller is kid napped and Ben goes on the hunt. Track Catch Kill.

TIGER HUNT

WALKING with a PANTHER

The Black Panther and the Bronze Tiger

I shouldnt have to say anything else except this is superior fan art. A true espionage mission where the recon is at the highest level. Hydra

 4.Aquaman

 5.IronFist

 6.Wolverine

 7.Blade

 8.Dr.Fate
