Bronze Tiger: Michael Jai White

Suicide Squad's
Spec Ops secret weapon the Bronze Tiger will show up in season 2 of Arrow.  The word on the wire is that BT will form an uneasy alliance with China White, the leader of the triads in Star City. The Squad is said to be forming and the Bronze Tiger is the first agent of Waller's on the show. Bone crushing kick assery is sure to ensue.

Bronze Tiger is a martial arts Grand Master and former LOA assassin. Michael Jai White being a martial arts master himself understands how DC's super spy's fight game should be executed. The only question left is what will he look like.

this photo is from Michael Jai White's twitter page. I'm thinking this is from the set of Arrow so we might have the sneak peak at what the Tiger's urban ninja is going to be. Will he have the Tiger mask at some point in the Task Force X movie, will the claws be tricked out (come on DC let's do it

Truly I was hoping for a modern version of the BT classic look or tactical battle gear with martial arts accents. The leather jacket is cool too.
Believe me I'm not complaining.

BT is in the building and the excitement level is high sports fans.

Interpretation                                                                                 is Everything

Bronze Tiger BATB: Zealand Jones
This is a favorite of mine. Wish BT had made more appearances on
the Brave and the Bold.

Vixen and the Falcon: Peter Temple
Shlomo sent me this one. I don't really know Mr.Temple but he's one of my favorite artist.
And this is my choice look for BT by Peter. Matter of fact I wouldn't mind if BT was a Marvel character. He'd probably be better off.

Doom vs Suicide Squad: Comic Vine
Doom is an enemy of the whole world.
Why not every universe?

This guy has the look down pack, modern temp fade hair cut,
bandolier type chest piece etc.
I like the direction the face is going in. Great concept.

Task ForceX: Shlomo the man deviantArt
Young Justice never did finish the League of shadows story line
and got cancelled before they could roll into the Legends story arc
but it would have been niiiice to see Bronze Tiger and Deadshot do their thing on YJ.

the Walking Dead

Zombie Apocalypse

The mid season finale of the Walking Dead was Dead ass on point! If you haven't been watching ...well you missed a good one. To those who's been running from Atlanta to Woodberry with Rick and the crew has watched them come from a bunch of scared confused victims to a crack unit of walker killing commandos.

They've lost a couple of people along the way and to add insult to injury they now face the threat of human beings that have lost their humanity following an evil tyrant torturing and killing people for personal gain and power. It's no excuse for it now, but in a zombie apocalypse where all people everywhere should stick together this bastards ego tripping can't be tolerated. The Suicide Squad has also had several run ins with zombies, roamers, walkers or whatever you want to call em.

In the second season of the Walking Dead one controversy among the group was who do you side with, Team Shane or Team Rick? Me; I'm team Rick and if I had to pick a team, a starting line up if you will, this is it.
Daryl, Michonne, Glen, Andrea, Maggie and Carl
(Tyreese hasn't come into the group yet)

For a super zombie fighting undead killing Squad,
Team Tiger would be
Deadshot, Nubia, Nightshade, Vixen, Plastique and Captain Boomerang

What would be your zombie fighting line up?

And if you don't know who Nubia is here's the link

Final thought.....who do trust?

the man with the Iron Fist

the Blacksmith
Character prodigy of the RZA
is the man with the Iron Fist. The movie comes out Friday and of course your man OA1 will be in the building for what I believe is the beginning of a new epic franchise that's well overdue. Were going to get martial arts superheroes (magic kung fu).
Let it be said that you heard it here first, from the beginning of this blog
that the DC universe has this character and movie in the
number one American super spy of TaskForceX.

Here's to that rock star Quentin Tarantino and
my man the soul collector, Bobby Digital.

Who do you think is the best?
Or do you think the Punisher could beat em both?

Tiger of Tamura

The Black Tiger is the worlds most skilled big cat. He has rarely been seen by the eyes of man and is believed to have magical powers that can be transferred to one who can capture or kill him. The magical Black Tiger is also known to be the killer of evil spirits and protector of all that's good.

As far as fully articulated figures go, I think it comes no better than the Four Horseman. These cowboys of the plastic action frontier gave us the Bronze Tiger; arguably the best two head sculpts and action figure paint jobs to date. The new 52 is in full swing and all of our favorite superheroes have pulled out alternate uniforms. With the Tiger Cage being officially the only Bronze Tiger site on the web, I decided to do a custom figure and review for the Shogun of TaskForce X, the Bronze Tiger.

The Agent O version of an alternate uniform is based on this panel from Flash #46
Quick Trivia: BT and the Flash are both from Central City  (who knew).

The color scheme is inspired by the black tiger, BT's burnt orange uniform, Mia Cabrera's tiger mask the legend of the Tiger King and the idea of Ben being the direct descendant of  Sakanouye No Tamura Maro - Sei-i Tai, first man to hold the title SHOGUN.

The figure has all the standard articulation of DC Universe Classics. The combination of hands that bend at the wrist give BT the dynamic of martial arts stances. Now his mastery of the empty hand can be shown in his poses.

Tamura Maro was one of the greatest warriors of Japan. His sword and bow are legendary. Benjamin Turner being one of the seven sons of Tamura maro (story by OA1) I gave BT a seven ringed broad sword, a power bow and his great ancestors sword. the sword of Tamura Maro.

The medallion has the Japanese Tiger symbol in the center. The other symbol is the symbol of the Tiger King. It's engraved in the center of the belt and on top of the head of the tiger mask. The symbol is in  truth on the top of the head of male tigers, you should see it in the stripes and it means king; hence the Japanese legend of the Tiger King. Inside the quiver is a hidden compartment to store whatever dangerous compounds or secret bad guy paraphernalia that had to be taken.

To wrap it up, this is my first 6inch custom job. I tried to take this and pour in as much originality as I could and still stay true to the original Bronze Tiger character created by Dennis O'Neil and Jim Berry.

A Warm Ophidian Welcome

As the Tiger descends into the bottomless snake pits of Basilisk, a deathtrap falls
the Bronze Tiger is ultimately bitten by Kobra
and
the most dangerous hunt has turned into........ Suicide.

This is one of the team ups that should be a no brainer.

What would YOU name the title of this cover?
The best title will become the name of this post.

TIGER STYLE: 7th CHAMBER

In the new 52 universe where what we use to know is not what we know, the Bronze Tiger hasn't shown up in the Suicide Squad title yet. We don't know if he'll show up at all or how he'll be represented (Harley Quinn , Deadshot).

Soooo here's how the number one martial artist of the DCU's skills and powers should be done.

WHY?
Because martial arts represents superior fighting systems developed to enhance the human mind, body and spirit to it's maximum physical and mental abilities.

And what is acheived at the highest levels of Kung Fu.......SUPER HUMAN POWERS to make a long story short; Magic Kung Fu.

With all that said. Heres the challenge for any comic guy or girl that might be tuned in.

1. Can you name any other martial arts character that has powers.
2. Can you name any martial arts style assossiated with a character.
3. Tell me why the Tiger shouldn't have em.
